One of the newest questions around, but did you know that the concept of working remotely has been around for more than 20 years?
Originally, us the administrators drove around spent an hour or two a week at your premises and took the bulk of the work home. That sounds familiar right?
Nowadays with cloud storage at any person with a Google account’s fingertips, it has just become easier. Less driving around and less papers moving back and forth between your admin person’s home office and your place of business.
Technology has enabled your administrator to work entirely from his or her home office.
As many things as your office administrator does from your office, your remote or virtual administrator can do from her office.
Need calls answered because you are out of town, have email’s checked and or screened, book your business trips, invoicing, bookkeeping, copywriting, social media, websites – the list is extensive and almost endless.
For the price of a single employee who has some little knowledge of many things, you could be outsourcing to four or more different VA’s who have specialized in various aspects of the online business world.
When you are growing your business why settle on that one girl who answers your phone, when you could have specialists on call?
For me as a business owner it makes perfect sense, I don’t know anything about building websites or marketing. Yes I learn or more correctly pick things up as I go along, but that doesn’t make me an expert.
Ask me about how to quickly get your admin reports running or what you need to implement to stay on the good side of SARS. I have answers or can get them without too much blood sweat and tears.
If you ask me about setting up websites or marketing strategies or copywriting, I am going to refer you to my own sources for those things.
Because let’s face it without Grammarly I would be at a loss! My spelling and grammar are not up to par! Ask me numbers or what SARS considers a legal invoice, then we can talk.
I have a passion for making order out of chaotic numbers and papers. With 20 years experience, I have mastered getting those admin ducks to obey and stay in their rows.
